He did it! We are home and resting. They did his video swallow test and it was closed, no leaking. Praise the Lord. Then he got his chest tube out just in the nick of time. It was about 2pm. when the resident came up to remove Owen's chest tube. He did such a great job. After we stayed the appropriate amount of time for supervision, we were given the all clear to go home. The greatest words ever spoken. "If you feel like it you can go home", or you can stay one more day just to monitor it. Let me see, I think we will go home thankyouverymuch.
Thank you to everyone for all your help and prayers. Now on to tackle that mound of laundry.
This is our story for bringing our beautiful daughter home from China. We hope you enjoy the journey with us and share in our love for this awesome child God is placing in our family. The story continues as now we are adding a sweet little boy to our family as well. Now the story continues (again) with our next adoption. Not sure of who God will place in our family but we are moving forward and know He has already decided and we will soon find out.

we don't know what to do; for God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls
knows that we know and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs 24:12

I am so happy to hear that Owen is finally home and that his swallow test went well! You will all have the best night of sleep that you have had in a long time! Welcome home! We are hoping tomorrow is our day to go home! I just want us all together under the same roof! It is so hard to be apart and juggle everyone's schedule! I am so glad you are home and Owen is doing so well! We will continue to pray for your little man!
