Owen is so happy to be at home and is doing very well. He went back to hospital today for a chest xray and check up with the surgeon. So far so good. Owen is going to start getting some liquids via the mouth so maybe that will satisfy him until he can start eating again. In a week or so we are going to start feeding him soft foods. A few weeks after that he will eating regular food.
A few pictures of his battle wounds and what he is having to deal with. He still has a broken rib but is slowly coming off the pain medicine. The little man is tough!
The three other kids all start school tomorrow. The girls are excited but Elliot could think of a lot of other things he would like to be doing tomorrow. Hopefully he will be excited once he sees all of his school friends.
This is our story for bringing our beautiful daughter home from China. We hope you enjoy the journey with us and share in our love for this awesome child God is placing in our family. The story continues as now we are adding a sweet little boy to our family as well. Now the story continues (again) with our next adoption. Not sure of who God will place in our family but we are moving forward and know He has already decided and we will soon find out.
The Red Thread
Once our eyes have been opened we can't pretend that
we don't know what to do; for God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls
knows that we know and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs 24:12

That is so wonderful! I love hearing that Owen is so happy to be home! That is the best place for anyone to recover from surgery! He is so strong! Our children have been through way to much in their short lives! I hope the children have a wonderful first day of school!
