The Red Thread

Once our eyes have been opened we can't pretend that
we don't know what to do; for God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls
knows that we know and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs

Late Update on Owen

Owen did fine with his procedure.  They stretched the esophagus and patched the hole, again!  Doctor indicates the esophagus is not staying open as well as he had hoped.  So, we will now start going in every two weeks for a the next few months.  The idea is to stretch it more ofter to try and keep it open.  Frustrating!

The other scary thing is that the doctors do not seem to be confident in how to fix the hole.  We thought the plan was to get the esophagus stretched and then open Owen up and close the hole (assuming the patching does not work).  But now there is a lot of uncertainty about what to do next.

Please pray for direction for the doctors, healing for Owen, and peace for our family.

  1. I'm so sorry this is so frustrating for you all. I wish I had something wonderful to say to make it better. Poor Owen -going through so much at a young age. We are continuing to pray - I know I've told you that. I will get others praying for him as well.
