The Red Thread

Once our eyes have been opened we can't pretend that
we don't know what to do; for God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls
knows that we know and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs

The first of many eye appoints under our belt

Today was Iris's first eye apt.  She did really well.

She did not like the eye drops they put in, other wise she was a real trooper.  They were not able to see the back of her eyes since the cataracts are so thick.  We go downtown next week for a scan of her eyes then they will schedule us for surgery.  So we continue to wait.  In the mean time we met a great family at our church who have also adopted a child and he just happens to be an opthamologist.  He knows many of the children's group so they have been a big comfort to us with all their help.  God has this thing all figured out for us.  All we need to do is listen.

Just playing around with some glasses

Here is our first family of 5 picture.  Boy was that hard.
here is proof

  2. Glad to hear Iris did well for her visit today. I know you will be glad to have the scan next week to get some answers. She will do great with God as her Great Physician and wonderful parents she has been blessed with! He has her in His hands and will meet all her needs.

Your one step ahead of us, we haven't even tried for a family picture yet. Our two oldest are away on a mission trip/youth camp.

  3. Glad the eye visit went well.

And you made a great and successful attempt at getting 3 young ones to even remotely look in the direction of a camera. Kuddos!
