My Boba baby carrier was delivered today. The kids had a good time taking turns getting carried around in it. Nice to know I can carry an 8 year old and a 5 year old with no problems. Iris should be a piece of cake to lug around China, if we ever get to go. I did the last of her laundry. Everything is ready to be packed away.
It looks like another week without a TA (travel approval). Monday is a holiday so the earliest it could be picked up now is Thursday. So hopefully we will have it by June 7th. Please continue to pray for a speedy TA.
This is our story for bringing our beautiful daughter home from China. We hope you enjoy the journey with us and share in our love for this awesome child God is placing in our family. The story continues as now we are adding a sweet little boy to our family as well. Now the story continues (again) with our next adoption. Not sure of who God will place in our family but we are moving forward and know He has already decided and we will soon find out.

Pity Party Here
Forgive me while I whine and cry. I am just so tired of waiting. I want my daughter NOW! Why does it always seem like I am in the slow line. I waited 81 days for our LOA, now they are down to 30 day waits for LOA's. Now I am at 3 weeks wait for our TA, they usually come in 2 to 3 weeks. Now they are saying that TA's have slowed down to 4 to 6 weeks wait. Of course they have. I am just watching the possibility of June travel slip away. I feel like I am running a race where they keep moving the finish line. I am tired and I need to stop. I can't keep my life on hold for much longer. Please pray that the end will come soon. |

getting so close
We are getting so close now. Our article 5 was picked up and delivered on Friday. So hopefully in 3 weeks we will have a travel date. This Mother's day was really hard. Joel and the kids tried to make it nice, but I had to work ( who knew mother's day was such a big day for suicides, we had 3 come in) I had a hard time trying to act happy when the kids gave me their gifts. Don't get me wrong I loved my gifts. Who wouldn't love a hand made dish and a story book about how much my daughter loves me. It is just so hard to celebrate when your child is still so far away. I called Holt on Friday to ask about our article 5 and was told it was not picked up. Needless to say I very upset. So all of that plus it is still so cold here, 50 degrees in May is making me cranky. Maybe I better go ask for that update on Iris now. I was going to wait until it got warmer so I could see her out of her big bulky coat. I think I could use a photo of my girl right about now. |
